Bridge Bearings
Bearings play an important role in the design of bridges.

Bearings are designed to transmit the load of the superstructure to the substructure, while allowing specific movements and rotation of the superstructure caused by wind or seismic effects, temperature variations, deck deflections, sinking of any of the supports, elastic shortening due to creep, shrinkage or prestressing, etc.
Whether E-Link elastomeric bearings, V-Max pot bearings, R-Max spherical bearing or other bearing types are used depends on the structure, loads and movements of the bridge.

Agom engineers can help the bridge designer choose the right bearing type for the structure.
Agom bearings are designed and manufactured in accordance with international standards. Every component is manufactured, moulded, mechanically worked and assembled by fully qualified workers in our factory under strict ISO 9001:2000 certified quality control standards.
